Day 02 of the Mining Indaba will begin with a Minerals Council media briefing on health and safety, followed by our participation in various panels. Zero harm in mining is achievable as the industry recalibrates its health and safety initiatives
The Minerals Council South Africa and its members are continuously promoting and enhancing their interventions to eliminate fatalities, injuries, and illnesses through the sharing and adoption of leading practices, innovation, and collaboration with key stakeholders to achieve Zero Harm. Significant progress has been made, with a 24% reduction in fatalities and a decrease in injuries and occupational diseases in 2024.
