The Minerals Council South Africa is pleased to have joined other stakeholders in signing the Mining Leadership Compact this morning at a ceremony hosted by Mineral Resources Minister Gwede Mantashe. Present too were leaders of most of the industry’s representative trade unions.

The compact, which is a product of the growth and competitiveness task team that was established at the same time as the Mining Charter task team, commits the parties to all play their parts in working co-operatively and according to high standards of good governance to make South Africa a competitive mining jurisdiction.
