Minerals Council at the 2024 Mine Health and Safety Tripartite Summit

Theme: Innovate and Elevate: Breaking Boundaries to Achieve Zero Harm

The 2024 Summit brings together industry leaders to review mine health and safety, acknowledge progress and confront ongoing challenges. Presentations from Minerals Council and its member organisations provided insights on the sector’s commitment to achieving Zero Harm. Japie Fullard, Chair of the CEO Zero Harm Forum at Minerals Council, and Letisha van den Berg, Director of ASPASA, offer the Principal Stakeholders’ Perspective. Dr Thuthula Balfour, Minerals Council Head of Health and MHSC Board Member, outlined the new health and safety milestones.

The event sought to review performance on mine health and safety, celebrate achievements and confront ongoing challenges.
