International Day of Women In Mining 2023

The Minerals Council today hosted a breakfast celebrating the International Day of Women in Mining 2023.

Under the theme Equity in Mining is Everyone’s Responsibility, the event highlighted the contributions made by mining companies to women’s economic empowerment through procurement and enterprise development programmes that support women-owned business.

The event also included conversations about the challenges that still need to be overcome to make Equity in Mining a reality to ensure a sustainable mining industry for all.
