The Women in Mining Modernisation Heroes

International Women’s Day (IWD) celebrates the economic, political, and social achievements of women: past, present and in the future. The theme for IWD 2022 is “#Break the Bias”. This theme seeks a world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination, a world that is diverse, equitable and inclusive, and which acts for equality.

To mark this important day, the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE) and the Minerals Council South Africa co-hosted a breakfast on 08 March 2022.
