Investment and Growth Strategy to grow the mining sector and create jobs

Speaking at the 2026 Joburg Indaba, Paul Dunne, Minerals Council South Africa President, outlined the Minerals Council's Investment and Growth Strategy. Sustained 3% annual growth in mining could add approximately R65 billion to GDP and support 50,000 to 100,000 additional jobs by 2035, while unlocking investment and strengthening SA's mining competitiveness.
