The Minerals Council Women in Mining Leadership Forum (WiMLF) was established to increase the representation and development of women in the mining industry. The WiMLF continuously seeks to confirm its commitment to realising gender diversity and inclusion in the mining industry, as well as increasing the attraction, retention, and development of women in mining, while promoting the principles of decent work.

Highlighting the remarkable contributions of women in the mining sector is a key component of the Minerals Council Strategic Goal 4: Leading by example. Demonstrating progress on transformation, safety, social and environmental imperatives (including sharing leading practice). Through the annual WiM Heroes campaign, we celebrate the achievements and contributions of women who go beyond the call of duty in their respective organisations and roles to #Makeminingmatter.
